Canoe Launch

At the Fureai waterway, you can launch your own canoe from the dedicated slope and paddle through the wetlands.
Get up close to the natural riverside environment and enjoy a peaceful time on the water.
Please note that canoe rentals are not available — you will need to bring your own.
Availability may be affected by weather or other circumstances.

How to Use
1. On the day of use, please check in at the Information Center and submit a usage application form. Check-in opens at 9:00.
2. After check-in, launch and retrieve your canoe yourself.
3. After mooring, move your tow vehicle and trailer to the designated parking space before departing.
4. Upon return, please complete the return procedure at the Information Center.
Please Note
Please pay close attention to safety and follow all rules below. Always comply with instructions from facility staff.
1. The waterway is divided into zones. Please choose the appropriate zone based on your skill level.
・The Waterside Zone is designated for beginners.
・The Waterway Circuit Zone is for advanced paddlers and is primarily intended for use by experienced paddlers or under instructor supervision.
2. Use is entirely at your own risk. Beginners and those in middle school or younger must be accompanied by an instructor or guardian at all times.
3. Entering the main Tone River from the Waterway Circuit Zone is strictly prohibited.
4. Always wear a life jacket.
5. Occupying multiple mooring or parking spaces is prohibited.
6. Please use the restrooms inside the Waterside Exchange Center or the Community Exchange Facility.
7. Fishing, harvesting, fireworks, open fires, barbecues, camping, and similar or dangerous activities are prohibited at Sawara Riverbank.
8. Please take all rubbish home with you.
9. Use under the influence of alcohol is strictly prohibited.
